Sigur Ros Concert!!!!!

On Sunday we went to a concert at the saltair with my brother and my wifes brother Kolton. We saw Sigur Ros, this is our second time seeing them in concert and it was amazing. I've seen alot of concerts in my life and this one i feel is the best. They are easily one of my favorite bands if not my overall favorite. They are an icelandic band, they sing in really high notes and the singer plays his guitar with a cello bow which creates an unheard of and beautiful sound. I would suggest anyone listen to their music, it is very relaxing and amazing. You can't understand what they are singing because they sing in icelandic and hopelandish. I would suggest anyone looking for some great music that can be listened to around anyone including kids to check them out. My favorite songs are nosnjavelin (untitled 4) and sven-g-englar.

Hunting in Idaho

Last week was the opening weekend of the rifle deer hunt up in Idaho. It was my cousin Karters first year hunting and i was hoping to be able to get him a buck this year. Our hunting group included my dad, josh(friend/relative), Brandon(brother), and Karter(cousin). It was a horrible opening weekend for hunting, it snowed for 2 days and put down about a foot. The snow made for a very cold and long weekend of hunting. On Sunday we were so cold that we ended up building a fire under a tree and sat there around the fire in the deep snow for 6 hours. It was a fun experience but not a good time hunting. Monday we slept in because we didn't want to waste our time in a blizzard, but we woke up to sunny skies and were very dissapointed for not waking up for the morning hunt. We got to our spot around noon and were seeing deer left and right. We watched a group of 5 bucks from about 450 yards away and waited for a big one. Eventually they came out from underneath the trees and i turned my sights on the biggest one. We weren't sure if it was a four point or just a big 2 point. At this point they were 585 yards away from us and Brandon and Josh didn't expect me to start shooting. I was in a seated position resting the gun in my hand with my elbow on my knee(not the most steady position). I shot once and looked to see if Brandon and Josh had seen where my bullet hit so that i could adjust and apparently they weren't watching. So i loaded a second bullet and held the sights a full body length above and a little ahead of him because of the wind. A second shot rang out through the canyon and unexpectedly the deer dropped in its tracks and slid 100 yards or so. I don't think any of us expected me to hit let alone drop it in its tracks from 600 yards. I ended up hitting it in the neck and it was just a big two point. Nothing too exciting but the shot itself was awesome!!!!

Welcome

Hello everybody, this is the McBride Family(Bryce and Cassidy)blog. I'd like to start our blog off by giving some background on each of us.

Cassidy and I have recently celebrated our 2 year anniversary, its amazing how fast that two years has come and gone. We were married on July 15, 2006 in lindon, Utah. We do not have any kids yet, but we are proud owners(i should say i'm a proud owner) of two awesome dogs; Atlas, he is an English Mastiff, and Titus, he is an English Bulldog. That is the extent of our family.

Cassidy,23, is an esthetician at Amara Day spa in lindon. She loves her co-workers and loves the work, especially the challenges of creating a continuing clientele. So if anyone is interested in skin care, you should definitely give her a call because she is great at what she does. She has many hobbies, including riding her motorcycle, working out, reading books(twilight series, what would a girl do without Edward), and watching movies with me.

I am currently jobless(thats what people in my neighborhood think) I actually run my own business. Right now my days consist of Studying Wall Street and the different markets, reading and analyzing the new york times, and bloomberg media, and studying the Forex market. I love learning about the markets and trying to understand how it all works, and all intricacies of the markets and the most powerful body in the world, the Federal Reserve. I golf usually 2-3 time per week in the summer, but my absolute love is Football, and in the winter my favorite hobby is snowmobiling. Nothing beats powder and the smell of 2 stroke exhaust(its to die for)!!! I love reading, favorite book is Atlas Shrugged. I'm a lover of cars, dogs, sports, music, and movies. I will expand on these subjects later.

Life can be tough and very depressing at times, but the good always outweighs the bad, i absolutely love my life each and every day. Its beats not having one at all!!
