Sigur Ros Concert!!!!!

On Sunday we went to a concert at the saltair with my brother and my wifes brother Kolton. We saw Sigur Ros, this is our second time seeing them in concert and it was amazing. I've seen alot of concerts in my life and this one i feel is the best. They are easily one of my favorite bands if not my overall favorite. They are an icelandic band, they sing in really high notes and the singer plays his guitar with a cello bow which creates an unheard of and beautiful sound. I would suggest anyone listen to their music, it is very relaxing and amazing. You can't understand what they are singing because they sing in icelandic and hopelandish. I would suggest anyone looking for some great music that can be listened to around anyone including kids to check them out. My favorite songs are nosnjavelin (untitled 4) and sven-g-englar.

Thankful for Great Family

I just want to thank all of my family for being so awesome and loving. Its really good to have a mom and dad that care so much about you and don't get in the middle of your business no matter how bad they may want to. They have always allowed me to be a man and take care of all my own problems without interjection. Its great to be able to talk to my father and seek his advice on anything i may need.

I have five wonderful sisters that i wouldn't trade for anything. I know it gets a little crazy in our family but i can't imagine life without my sisters and their families. I love my sisters and only wish for their happiness, i thank all of my brothers in law who have stuck by my sisters and taken care of them( Johnson, Chris, Brandon, Dan).

My twin brother brandon is absolutely awesome and he has a family to be envious of. He has a great wife and they have raised awesome kids. He is truly my best friend and i'd do anything for him.

My in laws are great. Everyone seems to have problems with their in laws, and you hear all the jokes about in laws especially mother in laws but mine have been great. Gwen and Kevin have welcomed me into their family and has made it easy to be comfortable around them. I have no problems with. Cassidy's brothers are all great and they are very respectful. I know they didn't really all like me at first but they gave me a chance and i think they all enjoy me now.

Fannie and Freddie Bailout!!!

In the words of Senator Jim Bunning(R. Kentucky) "When i picked up my newspaper yesterday, I thought i woke up in France!"  He recently was quoted as saying that after waking up monday morning and seeing that Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson ordered the government take over of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.  Our housing system has now been nationalized.  The saddest part is that the majority of Americans believe its a good thing.  In fact most americans were calling for government intervention without understanding the consequences involved.  They don't see past the initial effect on the economy or their own situation.  The government will now control over 50% of american houses.  Slowly but surely big government is taking over and their power is increasing.

I know that Henry Paulson is a self-proclaimed capitalist and lover of free market enterprise.  So why would he order such a socialistic takeover.  I don't think Henry Paulson wanted to order this take over, in fact it he has been patronized by some for waiting too long to order and direct the take over of Fannie and Freddie.  I believe he was put in such an overwhelming position being pushed by both republicans, democrats, President Bush, and Presidential Candidates i believe he felt compelled to step in.

Why is it that private companies are repeatedly being bailed out by the government.  It happened to Bear Stearns, Fannie and Freddie, and quite possibly Lehman Brothers Holding Inc.  The free market system should allow such companies to fail, why are these companies more important than others?   These companies have obviously made poor investment decisions that made them and their shareholders billions of dollars.  Why can't they fail?  It's thier decision making and greed that led to purchasing the mortgage backed assets.  These companies profited billions for years off of these securities and now that those securities are causing them major losses they get bailed out and the tax payer end up paying for it.

Americans need to wake up and start educating themselves about our world and our governments role.  We can no longer sit back and claim naivety because we aren't willing to understand the world outside of our 9-5 jobs.  Their is a bigger picture that needs to be understood or we will continue to pay for these large government bailouts.

The effects of this bailout will be felt more in the long term but may have devastating consequences far worse than the economy is experiencing now.

Coaching Football

As some of you may know, i'm currently helping coach 9th grade football at lone peak. My neighbor has a boy who plays on the team, he asked me to help out because he knew my passion and love for the game of football. Coaching has been a challenge, trying to get kids to listen to you, and teaching them fundamentals. The kids don't seem to want to learn the basics, they think they are above that, but most of them don't know how to form tackle.

I'm coaching defensive backs and linebackers, and i help with the defense. It is very gratifying to see kids listen to what you have to say and actually do it out on the field. This team i am coaching has come a long way, everyday they are getting better. I'm hoping i can coach some of these kids enough to help them make the sophmore team next year, some of them have great ability and potential.

We had our first game last tuesday. I was so nervous, but the defense tore it up. They held the other team scoreless and we won 21-0. Not a perfect game but very good. Coaching actually is the thing (besides my wife) that i look forward to everyday.

President Benson and his warning to the Saints, concerning socialism.

Below are videos of a speech given by President Ezra Taft Benson, suggesting that saints read this book about the corruption of the Federal Reserve and the corruption of the Government in America.
This book is "None dare call it a conspiracy"

Below is another speech from President Benson, expressing to the saints the dire situation the USA is in and where it is heading. He points out how he understands that there will be some of saints that
will persecute him for his comments. He also tells a story about a meeting he had as the head of the department of Agriculture with Russian President Kruschev.
He talks about how he will do anything in his power to make sure his children don't grow up in a communist America. Its interesting to here Kruschev's remarks to President Benson.

I hope that we can all understand the powerful force that has taken over our country and do our part to stop it. I would strongly suggest anyone who is interested also study the role of the Federal Reserve
and how it was created. We all stand to gain alot by understanding the most powerful form of government in the world today. Once again, i hope to express to anyone who will read this, Do not just hear
what i have to say and take it as truth or discount it as fiction. Study it, seek it out, and understand it. I think that in doing so, you will find the information that you need to fight for a change. If listening to President Benson,
or studying the Federal Reserve doesn't get your ire up about the state of our country and our economy, then we are truly destined for disaster far greater than our current state.

Books

My brother recently suggested i read a book called "None dare call it a conspiracy" by George Allen.  I started reading it today and so far so good. I will post more about this book when i'm done.
I also finished listening to the "Creature form Jekyll Island" by G. Edward Griffith.  Its actually a lecture explaining the Federal Reserve, how it came to existence, its so called purpose, and how it actually has turned into the largest most powerful form of government today(my words).  Very interesting, no i'm not a conspiracy theorist!!
